We've got some big news to share: on May 6 (05/06/07), we'll be launching BadBoyForums.com., an unofficial Bad Boy fan community. BadBoyForums.com will be a community where fans of Bad Boy and any/all of it's artists can feel welcome.

The community will hold the same principles as Bad Boy Blog - namely:

- Respect for one another, at all times.
- No vulgarities or inappropriate discussions (except in rare exceptions like song titles and lyrics where the term(s) must be self censored).
- Respect for intellectual property. No illegal distribution of copyrighted materials (such as audio), privately or publicly.

We're looking for some people to let in before we launch to help get some topics and activity going. If you're interested, please leave a comment with your e-mail or e-mail me. I'm looking forward to it.

Alright, let's try to clear this up. Despite what I was told before, it appears that the original report was correct. Bad Boy has launched this page where you can vote for Diddy's 4th single. I have been told that this is the one that counts. And, yes, the choices are "After Love" and "Through the Pain". Yeah, I'm still going with "Through the Pain".

According to Video Static, the video for "Five-0" has been shot. It was directed by Gil Green, who has directed the Elephant Man "Jook Gal" and "Pon Di River" videos in addition to many others. He directed the video for the new DJ Khaled single "We Takin' Over".

In the poll at MTV.com, "Everything I Love" is out to an early lead. The current standings:

1. "Everything I Love", 27%.
2. "After Love", 19%.
3. "Diddy Rock", 17%.
4. "Wanna Move", 12%.
5. "Making it Hard", 7%.
6. "The Future", 6%.
6. "Special Feeling", 6%.
6. "Partners for Life", 6%.

Updating a previous story, it appears that MTV.com will be hosting the poll where fans will be able to help Diddy pick his single. They will probably be tying it into his MySpace in one way or another, though. To find the poll, look at the bottom of this article. It's worded as such:

Diddy says he's still not sure which song from his Press Play album should be his next video — and he's interested to know that you think. Here are nine possibilities for you to vote on in our poll. There's no guarantee that the winning song will actually be made into a video, but remember: Sean Combs is watching!

The options are:

"The Future"
"Wanna Move"
"Diddy Rock"
"Everything I Love"
"After Love"
"Special Feeling"
"Making it Hard"
"Partners for Life"

I like these choices a little better. Honestly, I'm stuck between "Wanna Move" and "Diddy Rock". You?

MTV News talked to Diddy about a number of subjects. First, on Lil' Kim:

"Yeah, it was good getting back with her," Diddy said Wednesday. "We got everything on point [with our friendship] right before she went to jail. When she got out, I was right on the phone with her and we were talking about doing something. We got history together, and it was only right that the first song she's done since she's been out was a joint I produced. She's on a big hit record. She's sounding good and strong. I'm a witness. I was in the studio with her. She ain't miss a beat. She wasn't rusty or nothing. She stepped it up and was even doing some singing too. Her bounce is classic and it's necessary. She definitely is the queen of the game."

Meanwhile, Diddy sounds a little skeptical on whether or not the Diddy/Snoop tour as planned.

Finally, when asked about Mase and Steve Rifkind and him hammering out a deal to get Mase to SRC, he said:

"That's definitely true," Diddy confirmed. "Me and Steve have been friends for a long time, and me and Mase have stayed in touch. I think his whole vibe would be a good look for the industry. I think it would be great to see if he could go to Steve Rifkin, especially with the success of what he's done with Akon."

From BallerStatus.com:

The Memphis, Tennessee duo claim that they were interrogated on their way to the show for no reason at all, something they say has gone on for years. "Yeah, it was some backwards racist b*******," 8 Ball said in a statement released to BallerStatus.com. "They acted like we still in the 60s. The South is my home, but s*** like that will never change. And a lot of the people who were against the show just mad cause they kids, wives and sisters are fans of our music."

USA Today has an article on a limited edition of Unforgivable, Unforgivable Multi Platinum.

"In the world of fragrances, perfumes and colognes, the actual products we use are based on 'the juice.' There are different grades of 'juice,"' Combs said during a recent telephone interview. "This is the luxury version."

He compared it to a fine wine: One year might be a great vintage for a particular wine and you love it. Then you taste the wine from one of those once-in-a-decade vintages and you go crazy for it.

Press Play will have a fourth single - and fans will help to decide what it is through a poll on Diddy's MySpace. Fans will be given a choice between "After Love" and "Through the Pain" (put me down for "Through the Pain"). This doesn't mean there will be a video for it. The poll will be going up on MySpace shortly.

Edit: This has been delayed a bit - I'll post as soon as the poll is up.

From a piece by the founders of the organization:

Unfortunately the media rarely reports on the positive work within the Hip-Hop Community. Labels like Bad Boy records have made a significant effort to take the lead and become more socially responsible. We have been working with them for over a year in schools and communities across the country to enlighten our youths about issues they are confronted with daily and the dangers of "Art Imitating Life." We will be working with executives and artists like Yung Joc, Diddy, B5, Cassie, Fat Joe, Jim Jones, Kevin Liles, Lyor Cohen, Russell Simmons, Chris Lighty, Daymond John (FUBU) and others to give young people a better prospective of what the other side of Hip-Hop is about-the social, political, economic, educational and spiritual empowerment of a people no matter what race, color creed, religious or ethnic background.

AllHipHop.com has an interview with Slim:

AllHipHop.com Alternatives: So what was the situation with 112 and Bad Boy?

Slim: Well, for a good five or six years we were pretty much in a production deal that wasn’t really good. We didn’t want to leave Bad Boy but we were stuck in this production agreement and in order to get out of the production agreement we had to leave Bad Boy. Unfortunately, that’s pretty much what happened.

AHHA: How’s the relationship now?

Slim: We’re still real cool with [Diddy]. As a matter of fact, I have a song with his artist that’s about to come out, and y’all about to hear it. It’s me, 8-Ball and MJG who’s signed to Bad Boy records, and I’m on it with Three Six Mafia.

Block: Joc in the studio right now doing “Hustlenomics” and the reason we named the album “Hustlenomics” is because everyone running around saying that Hip-Hop is dead and etc…so we went out and hustled up everybody man. We went and got Game and Jim Jones on a song together, Jazze Pha and Trick Daddy on a song together; he got 8Ball & MJG, Twista, Boyz N Da Hood, Mary J Blige, Monica, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross all on the album. David Friedman has an article/interview with Danity Kane on their tour, next album, etc.

"This tour is crazy," Bex said. "With the PCDs and Christina and the energy and the size of this tour -- it's a national tour, you know? It's huge. It's one of, if not the biggest, tours out there right now. So to be starting out basically our first album last year and then opening for this, it's been a great energy, a great rush. The audiences are loving it. They're loving us, loving PCDs, loving Christina. All around, it's been a really positive, exciting experience -- something to remember." ...

Before joining Danity Kane, D. Woods appeared in music videos for Lloyd, Jay-Z, The Roots and Ciara. She toured as a dancer with Bow Wow, Avant, Lloyd and Letoya Luckett.

"It prepared me a lot, just being on stage and being in a lot of the same houses that we're playing today on this tour," D. Woods said. "Getting that experience and being behind the person, it just made me more anxious and made me want it a lot more just seeing somebody else doing it. And then taking notes from them -- even in soundcheck -- I would go to everyone's soundcheck and listen and see how they were doing. I'd talk to the sound engineers, talk to the lighting people. I got to be really good friends with a lot of the band that was on these tours. So it prepared me very much."

In light of the recent and quite absurd rumors of my pregnancy, I would like to state very clearly that I am not and have never been pregnant, nor has my relationship with Diddy been anything more than strictly professional.

I am extremely thankful to be a part of Danity Kane and a Bad Boy artist and it is disappointing that one edited photo could challenge my integrity as an artist. These rumors should serve as another unfortunate reminder of how much influence the media can inflict on public opinion.

I'd like to thank everyone for their support and for sticking with me through this.

Aubrey O'Day

I'm surprised that any actual fan of Aubrey or Danity Kane... or Bad Boy... would jump to believe these sorts of things. These are recycled rumors. The "X is pregnant with Diddy's baby" rumors are only going to keep happening as long as people are gullible enough to pay attention to them, pass them on and keep making the rumor starters money...

From AllHipHop.com's interview with Timbaland:

AllHipHop.com: If you had the chance, dead or alive, what artist would you like to work with?

Timbaland: Biggie. I was almost about to work with Biggie before he got killed. That’s who I would want to work with.

Billboard talks about Danity Kane's sophomore album, which is in the works.

Richard says the five Danity Kane members have ProTools on their individual laptops and have been trading song ideas with each other. "Making the Band" producer Diddy remains involved but is also "giving us an opportunity to spread our wings and fly on our own." The group is considering some of the producers who worked on "Danity Kane" -- including Timabland, Scott Storch, Bryan Michael Cox and others -- but is also "trying to open up doors for new, independent producers or producers that have been kind of underground and are really talented."

The article also mentions that they are talking about doing another season on MTV where the album release, tour and creation of the new album would be documented.

I saw the "rumors" (it's a stretch to call them that, even) that Aubrey was pregnant with - who else - Diddy's child. I didn't bother to report them because of where they came from. You have to check where these rumors are coming from. Plenty of websites and people post sensational, untrue nonsense just to get the web traffic and ad money. Don't believe everything you read, folks. Don't pass on everything you read, either. Take it in, look at the sources, consider what's being said.

Anyway, apparently this got to the point where they decided it should be addressed, so there is a statement from Aubrey on Bad Boy Online:

"I am not pregnant. Recent rumors linking me to Sean Combs, CEO of my label Bad Boy Entertainment are completely untrue and ridiculous."

I don't know where this came from, but watch below.

You see it mentions Gorilla Zoe under Bad Boy priorities... so, he could very well be a Bad Boy solo artist (through Block Entertainment). Trying to find out...

The Daily Mail has a piece from Diddy:

My message to kids is simple. Put the guns down. No good can possibly come from the violence. You pick up a gun, and you are looking at prison or death. It may not happen the same day, it may not happen the next day, but it will happen. It is a dark road - and there is no turning back! ...

I had every kind of job growing up. I delivered newspapers, pumped gas, worked in a Mexican restaurant.

Some were terrible jobs. It wasn't about me taking a job to be cool. It was about being able to provide for my family and provide a future for myself. That is how committed I was, that is the level I maintain even today.
