In the video above, Donnie announced that the second single off of "Just a Rolling Stone" will be "Dr. Love." Interesting choice. It's definitely one of my favorites off the album. Some would say it's been out a while, but that doesn't always matter. He says they'll be filming a video in "like two weeks" and that "Pick It Up" will be next.

My copy of the Circuit City exclusive version of Donnie Klang's "Just a Rolling Stone" finally arrived. So, I can report that "Beautiful Escape" was produced by Malay for Soul of Malay Music. It was written by Tiff Starr, Devon Golder and James Hoe.

I think when he mentions DJ Khaled and Diddy, he might actually mean "Get Buck in Here" by DJ Felli Fel.

MTV's Chris Harris reports that Donnie Klang's album "Just a Rolling Stone" debuted at the #19 spot, selling 22,000 copies. This is definitely a disappointing figure.

In the video above, Donnie Klang tells Rap-Up.com that he will be the opening act on Janet Jackson's "Rock Witchu Tour." Though details are still being worked out, "it's looking like it's gonna be on the national dates."

Dates for tour can be found on janetfanclub.com. The first U.S. date is September 13 in Oakland. It's unclear if Donnie will be at that show, though, as it seems a little soon. In any case, there are 21 U.S. dates in all. LL Cool J will be featured on the tour, as well.

I just screened the Target exclusive DVD that comes with "Just a Rolling Stone" and I thought I'd put up a quick description of it's contents. There are really three segments:

1. Fan questions. Donnie answers random questions from fans.

2. Track by track review. Donnie talks about each of the tracks on the album, from who he worked with to the meaning of a particular track.

3. More questions. Finally, there are questions, not from fans. Generally related to either the album, the music industry or Donnie personally.

It runs a little over 30 minutes. Not a bad bonus.

Bad Boy producer Channel 7 has posted on his MySpace, criticizing illegal downloaders who claim to be Donnie Klang fans.

if your going 2 Be Down Be all the way down, in the end it looks like YOU the Fans are going to let the first week sales speak for YOU and what it says to the World is YOU Dont want Donnie's Music WHen NOt ONly DO YOU want it YOU Let Free Downloading be your source.

It sounds like Donnie's sales have not been what was hoped for. But, 7's message is certainly one that we support here at Bad Boy Blog. If you read our about page, you know that we are all about purchasing music. Check out the comments of his entry, as well. It makes for interesting reading and I agree with him.

People has a quick interview with Donnie Klang.

... he's still dazzled by his new position in the music world. "I met Brandy at a radio station in the Midwest," he says. "She wrapped her arms around me and was like, 'Oh my God, I love you. My family loves you.' And I was like, 'You're Brandy.' She's coming up to me saying she's a fan. What's going on?"

Singersroom has an interview with Donnie Klang.

Singersroom: You mentioned that your beginning to create a brand, how would you sum up your sense of fashion?

Donnie: It’s a pretty crazy because I have developed so much over the past year from rocking a hoody and sweat pants. Now I am more high fashion not only am I taking my style from New York but I am traveling internationally. I am even putting this into my music as far as trying to be innovative, staying fresh and staying a step ahead of what’s out there now. For example, the song “Stereo” will represent that.

thisisswansea.co.uk has quotes from Donnie Klang on what it's like to work with Diddy.

... he's that inspirational, tough drill-sergeant, to say the least. But it's good. I'm glad to have him as a boss. He doesn't let us get comfortable in our positions. He demands perfection. He sits back at first and let you do what you do, and when it gets to a certain point, he'll step in. Sometimes he'll change the whole song, and scrap songs.
