Update 2: This was an April Fools joke!

Update: Jordan has confirmed the move on her MySpace and Twitter.

Bad Boy Blog has learned that Jordan McCoy will join Boyz N Da Hood, replacing Gorilla Zoe. Due to the success of his solo projects, Zoe will be leaving the rap group, following in the footsteps of Young Jeezy, who he replaced after Boyz N Da Hood's self-titled debut album. This is according to separate sources close to Jordan and at the label.

McCoy's self-titled debut EP album was digitally released earlier this year. She is also a member of the revamped pop girl group Dream. It's unclear, at this time, how the move to Boyz N Da Hood impacts Dream, or McCoy's own solo projects.

Along with McCoy, Boyz N Da Hood consists of Bad Boy rapper Big Gee and rapper Big Duke. With Jody Breeze's likely departure, a fourth member could enter the fray. It's thought that, with McCoy on board, a male R&B singer could be the next addition, as the group moves more toward a pop and R&B sound.

Boyz N Da Hood's next album, tentatively titled "Back On Da Corner," is slated for a release at the top of 2010.

From Diddy's Twitter:

Still partying!! Just kickin it wit my boy matt from the ARCTIC MONKEYs! I'm the the newest member of the GROUP! I'm signing him to badboy!

Now, there are two main ways to interpret this. One, he's just joking around and showing his support of Matt Helders/the Arctic Monkeys. Two, there is actually something to it. Personally, I'd fall into the first camp, at this time. Yet, there's no real indication that he's joking, so I definitely wanted to mention it.

Back in February, I reported that Diddy planned to form a three person group, featuring two girls alongside him. At the time, BBB reader Brandan commented, "Chances these two girls are Dawn and Aundrea? 99%."

Other fans have speculated on this, as well and, while I found the theory and coincidence intriguing, I thought it was probably unlikely. It appears that the theory may be at least half right. In an interview with MTV, Melody Thornton of the Pussycat Dolls let something slip out.

"I know that Dawn is actually working with Puffy," she said. "I probably shouldn't say it; and another girl, and they're going to do a group."

It's worth noting that another member of the Pussycat Dolls had mentioned Aundrea just a moment before, so you would think that, if the other girl was Aundrea, that that she just would have said Aundrea. That said, you never know.

Check out this great series of interviews conducted by Barry Michael Cooper. In the videos, he discusses the creation of "Ready to Die," how he doesn't get the credit for his production work that he deserves (we've talked about this before) and more. Must watch videos for Diddy and Biggie fans.
