"Head and Shoulders," the new single from rapper SupaSTAAR features both Gorilla Zoe and Yung Joc. Check it out on his MySpace. For some reason, only the first 2/3 of the song and Gorilla Zoe's verse is playing for me, at this time.

Check out the clip below from Clinton Sparks. He was in the studio with Diddy and the two of them jokingly talked about Ciroc and the art of becoming a Ciroc Star. There is a track playing in the background of Dawn Richard singing an unnamed track, as well.

Here are Bad Boy's positions on the most recent Billboard U.S. album and single charts, released yesterday. Most notably, Gorilla Zoe's "Echo" debuts on the big chart, the Hot 100, at 82 and continues to move upward on other charts. How far will it go? It seems like it has some solid potential.

Biggie maintains strong positioning on catalog based charts, thanks to the DVD release of "Notorious."

Billboard and paidContent.org report on the release of fiscal second quarter earnings at Warner Music Group.

The company posted a loss of $68 million or 45 cents per share. In the same period last year, they lost $37 million or 25 cents a share. A chunk of this was a $33 million dollar write down on its investments in Lala and Imeem.

The report was below Wall Street's expectations. Revenue dropped 17%, falling to $668 million and Wall Street had been looking for $730.2 million. After the investment charges, the earnings per share came to a loss of 23 cents, whereas Wall Street had been expecting a loss of 25 cents.

One good note, however, is that the company is sitting on a lot of cash. $658 million to be exact. This is around 20% more than what they held in their last quarter.

Finally, an interesting note from paidContent.org's Robert Andrews:

Music sales still sliding: The company blames “a light release schedule and the turbulent global economy”, saying better releases are coming toward year’s end.

Counted among those releases will no doubt be Diddy's "Last Train to Paris."

Warner Music Group is the parent of Atlantic Records and their family of labels, which includes Bad Boy.

In an interview with Hardknock TV, Day26 criticized Donnie Klang for remarks he made on the finale of the second part of the third season of Making the Band 4. Specifically, his comments about Day26 having more TV time. I pulled the footage of the finale and watched this part of the show. Here is the exchange between Sway, the show's host, and Donnie:

Sway: You went through a lot of struggles yourself, but what did you learn by watching Day26? What was the lesson learned?

Donnie: I mean, for me, it was frustrating. I definitely, definitely want to get this off my chest. Like, I love them and they're a group and they're going to go through their stuff and, obviously, it took up most of the TV time. I feel like I lost out on a lot of footage and a lot of chances that fans could have got to know me. So, I feel like I'm working on a spin-off show or I'm going to do something to really get my face out there, aside from all the drama.

This doesn't seem all that bad, but it struck a nerve with the members of Day26. Mike especially had harsh words, repeatedly saying "father f*** you" in reference to Donnie. I don't really care about the context, but repeatedly saying that phrase as he does in the interview just isn't professional or mature and it casts the group in a bad light. In any case, though, between the mixture of laughter and silence from the others, they all share in the responsibility for this interview.

As more and more Bad Boy artists, marketing people and employees get on Twitter, they are discovering the personal and professional benefits that it can create. At the same time, most are still relatively new to it and, as such, are still learning the lay of the land and how they can get the most out of it and use it most effectively.

I'm here to help. From watching various members of the Bad Boy camp participate, I've developed this ten point guide to getting the most out of Twitter, from both a personal and professional perspective.

This includes a marketing perspective, as well, allowing you to create value and generate interest in whatever it is you are doing right now, in the form of traffic, replies and retweets (when someone else passes along a tweet that you sent). Yes, Twitter is (in part, at least) about self promotion or, more or less, talking about what you are doing.

With all of this said, I just wanted to say that one of the great things about Twitter is that it is what you make of it, in many ways. Plenty of people try to place "rules" on how others should participate, but the beauty of Twitter is that you can follow whoever you want. Everyone, no one or something in between. At the end of the day, the important thing is to stay true and respect others. These aren't "rules," just friendly advice.
