In France, Cassie has seen like NextSelection artist(of Ryan Leslie), but people say P.Diddy is just forcing this collaboration because Cassie get the success.It's clear in many of Ryan's blog posts, he tell(with his words) that Cassie is the product of "his work" and he proclaims all time that NextSelection is independant. I am sure that Cassie will not make three years like Bad boy artist or a bad boy artist on paper only

Cassie is a Bad Boy artist. Diddy isn't forcing anything, as far as I can see. Plus, that wouldn't make sense - she signed the best deal for her, I'm sure. People say a lot of things, just be careful what you choose to believe.

Patrick, thx for your response, i'm a Diddy's fan. I think Ryan posts many things which shows like "someone" of Bad Boy is just an opportunist for Cassie's success album.
Another, on Badboyonline.com, there is no Babs, no Mase etc. What's their situation in Bad Boy?
Presently, on MTV TV channel, any Bad Boy music video is diffused, except "Last night": it mean any bad boy track is a Hit ( Hitlist)? If I compare with another labels (Ciara, Ne-yo, Rihanna etc.) I think Bad Boy make casting errors before sign its artists. I recognize the Yung Joc's talent and DK girls potentiel. I think Bad Boy marketing in Europe is bad. Diddy when he come here he talks only with VIP persons(Clubbing, yatch, St-tropez,...) but keep out the real underground people or urban people who make noise. This way to do is different from Nas, The Game, 50 Cent who feel like near their fans when they come here.

Thanks for the comment. No problem. I don't know that I get exactly that from Mr. Leslie. Really, they needed major distribution. Bad Boy gave them that, through Warner. Like I said, they signed the best deal they could. Beyond that, I don't know.

I'm sorry to hear that as far as European promotion. It's hard for me to speak on European promotion, since I'm in the states and that is what I'm familar with. Every time period has it's hot artists... obviously, Ciara, Ne-Yo and Rihanna are very hot.

At this moment, it's a little quiet on the Bad Boy front (with the exception of "Last Night" which is a big hit and is still holding strong) because Bad Boy hasn't had a big release since "Press Play" in October. The Biggie greatest hits album and the 8 Ball & MJG album were never going to be big, mainstream successes, so that's not really a surprise.

I think one thing that needs to be kept in mind is that Bad Boy only releases like 5-6 albums a year on average. That's all they've ever done. They're not like one of the real huge labels that puts out tons of releases. So, the volume is a little different. Still, Bad Boy had an incredible 2006 and will hopefully have a great 2007. It will be hard to tell until we get into some of these later releases.

It will be interesting to see how Yung Joc's second album does. The first was a huge success. I don't know if you can expect another "It's Goin' Down" (certified 2x Platinum - which is very, very amazing for a single these days), but we'll see what happens.

I don't know how big the BB marketing department is overseas. Something tells me that falls more under WMG than Bad Boy, just because Bad Boy doesn't have the people power. But, I could be wrong.

Yes. Well, he was a Bad Boy represented producer at one point. I'm not 100% sure if he still is, although his official website still mentions them for production representation.
