Compensation, of course, comes from increased public attention, more job prospects, interviews with the media and lots of hits on her Web site.

"People are stopping me on the street, saying 'I saw you on the Diddy show!', and a lot more people know who I am in this business," Cox says. "I also think my presence on TV is sparking a dialogue. Diddy opens doors."
