Black Rob recently spoke with The Syndicate about the time he spent in jail, his situation at Bad Boy and a lot more. It's an interesting interview, though the hosts do talk a little slick, let's say. I suppose that that is part of the shtick of this particular show. Let's cover the highlights.

Black Rob told the hosts that Diddy did not visit him during his time in prison. He had hinted at this previously.

"I really don't care," he said when asked about it. He was told that Diddy visited Lil' Wayne. "So, what? I'm B.R. I'm from Spanish Harlem. Man, I don't know him. I don't know Puffy. Puffy ain't have to come see me." Toward the end of the interview, he also criticized people who don't write their own records. One of the hosts mentioned Diddy specifically, but Rob didn't.

Nonetheless, he confirmed speaking with Diddy. When asked if he was considering a return to Bad Boy, he said no. But, he went on to clarify the reasoning for that.

"They gotta actually come to me with some paper this trip," he said. "Because this next album [I'm going to] put out is classic. It's going to be a whole bunch of thoughts. Four years. Pain. Sadness. Everything's on that album. So, Puff heard me spit. When I came home, I did a song with Harve Pierre and he sent it to Puff and Puff was like 'I want to give him another shot' because he knows a focused B.R. is a problem anywhere."

I'm a big Black Rob fan, but I do believe it may be difficult for him to find someone who will put a large amount of money behind him. As he has admitted, he's made some serious mistakes as a recording artist and has demonstrated an inability to stay out of the trouble when he should be doing shows and promoting his record. He has not been very reliable when it came time to make back the money, in other words.

One of the other points I found interesting was that he said that he ended up missing his original sentencing in court, leading to a harsher sentence, because his attorney was on drugs and gave him the wrong date. One of the hosts asked a good follow up: if that's the case, why didn't you say something or take some sort of action against that attorney? Rob said that he just wanted to serve his bid and get it over with.
