Janelle Monae Performs at the Bing Bar During the Sundance Film Festival (Video)

During last month's Sundance Film Festival, Janelle Monae appeared and performed at the Bing Bar, sponsored by the Microsoft search engine. In the assorted clips below, you can see an interview (first clip) and some performance footage.



Finally, in the two clips below, Bing's representative chatted with a number of attendees. But, if you watch through, you'll see some footage from Monae's performance, as well.



Janelle Monae Appears on Stage During Mark Ronson Set at Le Défilé Etam Lingerie Fashion Show

In January, Mark Ronson was at the helm for a live set during the Le Défilé Etam Lingerie fashion show during Paris Fashion Week. At the end of the show, which featured The Kills, Spank Rock, Boy George and others, Janelle Monae appeared on stage. Watch below. You can skip ahead to 17:38 to see Monae emerge.

Janelle Monae's "Tightrope" Receives NME Awards 2011 Nomination

Glasswerk National reports that Janelle Monae's "Tightrope" (featuring Big Boi) has received a nomination in the "Best Track supported by NME Radio" category. The winners will be announced on February 23 at the O2 Academy Brixton in London. You can vote online.

Janelle Monae to Appear on Big Boi's Next Album, "Daddy Fat Sax"

Big Boi told Vibe that for his next album, "Daddy Fat Sax," he has a song with Raekwon and Janelle Monae that was originally recorded for "Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty," the album he released last year. "Daddy Fat Sax" does not yet have a release date.

Janelle Monae Receives Mention During Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer's CES Keynote

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer delivered a keynote address at CES - the International Consumer Electronics Show - in January. During the keynote, Ballmer deferred to Microsoft engineer Steve Forbes to discuss the Xbox and Xbox Kinect. A Janelle Monae site appeared, with Forbes referring to it as "one of my favorite new songs."
