Earlier this month, GQ interviewed French Montana about Versace, a brand he's been wearing lately, and fashion in hip-hop.

GQ: You pay homage to Biggie a lot but how would you classify your style?

French Montana: I like colorful stuff. I like wearing stuff that nobody is wearing. That's why I wear the bear hat. I'll wear the whole mink. You wear the animal, but you don't wear the head. I'm wearing the head this time around. It's just like how I took the silk shirt game to another level and went and got the scarves—looked like King Jaffe Joffer out there. You know?

In a statement published by HipHopDX, Day26 announced earlier this week that the group would "take a break" to focus on solo efforts.

This followed a slew of Twitter messages from members Brian Angel, Willie Taylor and Michael McCluney last week, hinting that such an announcement may come.

From what the group has said for a while, they were no longer signed to Bad Boy Records and were Atlantic Records only. But, given conflicting information, we had maintained coverage of them to see where the dust settled. Now that it has, we will cease coverage of Day26.

During their time with Bad Boy, the group released two albums. Their 2008 self-titled debut hit #1 on the Billboard 200, spawning a successful lead single in "Got Me Going." A little over a year later, they followed with "Forever in a Day," which reached #2 and featured "Imma Put It On Her."

You can read their full statement below.

MTV's Rob Markman reported that, last Friday, Yelawolf was asked on Shade 45, by host Rude Jude, for his thoughts on being compared to Machine Gun Kelly.

He then said that being asked to sign a Machine Gun Kelly autograph is "probably the most insulting thing on the planet." This was followed by an impersonation of MGK, "Yeah, mothherf*****. Let me sign your Birkenstock motherf*****."

Before the BET Awards on Sunday, MGK gave Markman his answer to the comments.

"I love him, man," he said. "You gotta respect your elders, and he's an old man so I gotta give it up. I respect all grandpas around the world doin' it big. Salute."
