Back in February, the Jamaica Observer reported that Elephant Man's deal with Bad Boy had been for one album and that he was no longer affiliated with the label. At that time, I was unable to receive official confirmation on the story. I now have that confirmation. According to a source at the label, Elephant Man is no longer with Bad Boy.

I would call Bad Boy's first dip into the reggae/dancehall world a successful one. Elephant Man is one of the giants in the genre and to have their first, and only, reggae/dancehall release reach #1 on the Top Reggae Albums Chart and receive a Grammy nomination - it has to be considered a success.
