From
MTV.com:
Diddy also put to bed any rumors of a rift between him and Elephant Man. Whispers started getting louder that the dancehall artist ran up in the Bad Boy offices in New York and put his hands on Diddy. Apparently, the Energy God wasn't too happy with the progress of his project. But Diddy said don't believe just everything you hear.
"Elephant Man's been in Jamaica," he explained. "He was here and when I was here you see, I don't have problems like that, to be honest. That sh-- right there, that be happening to other people. That sh-- don't be happening to me. My house is all good and everybody sees the way I handle my problems, you know what I'm saying? You just kind of let it go. Everything don't need to be addressed. You kinda take that approach."
On Friday, I
reported that Diddy would be appearing at this year's VH1 Hip Hop Honors. My guess then was that he'd be participating in the part dedicated to New Jack Swing, seeing that his mentors, Andre Harrell and Teddy Riley, would be accepting the honor. I've confirmed with VH1 that this is the case - he'll be presenting that portion of the show.
The show will air on VH1 and VH1 Soul on October 8 at 10 PM ET.
"Last Night" by Diddy featuring Keyshia Cole, originally released on "Press Play" will also appear on Keyshia Cole's new album (releasing on September 25),
"Just Like You". You can
listen to the album on BET.com. The version they are playing is 4:10 long, presumably the single cut. There are no discernible differences.

There are only 2 days remain in AOL Breakers voting. B5 is, of course, nominated in the
Southern Comfort category. They have a slight edge over Hurricane Chris, 41% to 40%. Plies is a distant 3rd at 19%.
According to
Que's MySpace, he will be holding a party in New York City at Avalon on October 11.
It appears that there will be no bonus versions for "Welcome to the Zoo" by Gorilla Zoe. At least, not at iTunes, Amazon.com, K-Mart, Target, Best Buy or Circuit City. The only one I am not sure about is Wal-Mart, but that seems unlikely.
The album is releasing on Tuesday, September 25 and you can
pre-order it at Amazon.com now.
At the end of last month,
I reported that Elephant Man's "Let's Get Physical" would feature 4 new tracks for the U.S. released (as opposed to
Japan release). One of those tracks was a solo track produced by Swizz Beatz that I didn't get a title for.
The title could be "Jump". From
The Jamaica Observer:
Elephant Man's album, Let's Get Physical, will now be released on November 6 on Bad Boy Records. The 14-track album includes Jump featuring Swizz Beats; This Is The Way We Roll featuring Busta Rhymes and Shaggy; Throw Your Hands Up featuring Rihanna; and Make Your Body Sweat featuring Chris Brown. Yung Joc, Assassin, Mya and Wyclef Jean also appear on the album.
It says "featuring Swizz Beatz" where Elephant Man told me that it was just him on the track, so perhaps that is just a mistake. It also mentions "Make Your Body Sweat" as the title for the Chris Brown track, where Elephant Man had told me "Get You Wet". I note that the article says it is a 14 track album, but
as you can see in our interview with him, he said that they added 4 new tracks. So, that would tend to mean that the tracks that were already there were kept. That would make sense.
Gorilla Zoe's "Welcome to the Zoo" can be listened to on
MTV's The Leak.
