MTV announced an agreement today (May 24) to produce a pilot for an untitled dance competition series produced by Sean "Diddy" Combs, producer of the successful Making the Band series that airs on the music network.
According to reports, Combs' untitled show will focus on street dancers from around the country.

According to
MovieWeb, the TV adaption of A Raisin in the Sun will be shown on ABC in 2007. Diddy will be executive producing it. Directing is Kenny Leon with the script being written by Paris Qualles.

The news comes after yet another disastrous performance for the series. Last night's installment took a distant fifth place among adults 18-49 in the 8:00/7:00c hour (a 1.6 rating) according to preliminary numbers, ahead of only "One Tree Hill" on the WB (a 1.2 rating).
The article notes that the final two episodes will be on
NBC.com Thursday (last night) and Friday and that the two episodes will air back to back on Saturday on NBC at 8:00 PM Eastern.

The celebs are Alison Sweeney, Chelsea Cooley, Cindy Margolis, Patti LaBelle, Big Kenny, Tony Gonzalez, Gabrielle Reece, Tom Arnold and Ashley Parker Angel. I knew that Naomi Campbell dropped out, but where's Ja Rule? Hmm. Must have dropped out as well.
The 5 day series starts Monday, April 17 on NBC.
