According to a MySpace bulletin from Jordan McCoy's MySpace, her album is now slated for March.
Fergie's new album, "The Dutchess," features a song called "Big Girls Don't Cry."
This song was written by Fergie and was sold to Clockwork or Bad Boy for Jordan McCoy's album. Jordan wrote a pair of MySpace bulletins on it. A summary of points:
- She is saddened by it.
- They were told that it wouldn't be used for Fergie's album.
- Writers generally don't do this to artists.
- She says that Fergie changed her mind after she listened to Jordan's version of it.
- The one Fergie released is the exact same song that they did. "I can't believe she didn't even change it," she says.
The song has been posted on Jordan McCoy's MySpace.
Jordan McCoy's debut album has been pushed back to March 2007. She is slated to tour with Diddy in February.
Jordan McCoy will be featured on Radio Disney incubaTor for August 13 through 25.
I've been sitting on this for weeks, but it's out now, so I wanted to mention that Jordan McCoy is blogging.
How did I know for so long? Because I designed it (my friend, Chris, helped me iron out a few errors, as well). So, give that a look.
From the Morning Sentinel:
"According to Deanna McCoy, after she and Jordan would hear a song for the first time and approve of it, the management team would have to approve the song before going to Diddy.
"After going through all those people, if Diddy didn't like it, it wasn't going to be recorded," Deanna McCoy said. "We've been very careful about song selection. ... There have been more than one time when we got back with the songwriter and asked them to change something. Bottom line, no touchy-feely stuff that's not appropriate for a young girl."
"I think all the songs are age appropriate," Jordan McCoy said. "Younger kids can listen to them, but they're about things teen and young adults can relate to. ... Diddy is very protective. There were times when I thought it was OK to do a song, but Diddy would say, 'No, you can't do that either.' He's like a big brother, always watching out for me."

The intro to "Next X Boyfriend" has been changed to make it less suggestive and a snippet of another song called "Good Guys" has been posted.
We've got our hands on a sample tracklist for Jordan McCoy's forthcoming debut album. Please note that this is not the official tracklist for the album, but a list of tracks that are being considered for inclusion onto the album. As far as I know, we're the first to publish information about most of these tracks:
