Hip-Hop cop reveals Big's killer. Apparently hip-hop cops aren't only in place to harass rappers. Derrick Parker, the man believed to have launched the controversial hip-hop task force, is soon to reveal it in a new documentary, Black and Blue: Legends of the Hip-Hop Cop. Earlier this week, Parker visited (New York) Hot 97's morning show to promote the film as well as his upcoming book, The Notorious C.O.P. In the book, Parker speculates on Biggie's murderer. According to Parker's accounts, Marion "Suge" Knight was also involved in both Biggie and Tupac Shakur's death.
The book is called Notorious C.O.P.: The Inside Story of the Tupac, Biggie, and Jam Master Jay Investigations from NYPD's First "Hip-Hop Cop" It is set to be released June 27 and you can pre-order it at Amazon.com.

The Jackson, MI performance that was supposed to happen on June 10 has been cancelled:
Todd Sanford, an owner of the Rocket, said Tuesday that the hip-hop star and producer accepted a "private engagement" and canceled Saturday plans to introduce singer Cheri Dennis at the downtown club.
Dennis' show also is canceled.

All that crap talk about G-Dep has been proven false and I have to apologize for thinking it had some validity to it. I do have the deal with Dep though for those that want to know. First of all, he doesn�t even live in New Yawk anymore, much less homeless. He�s an up-top transplant residing down in South Carolina with his family � doing alright. On the real side, he�s had issues with his comeback and simply wants support from his label. I had The Deputy mixtape, but didn�t hear much after that. At any rate, keep your head up Dep and we�ll see you when you come back.

I saw Big Gee's name in that AllHipHop.com interview with Smitty:
Smitty: ... At the same time, I was a member of Face Mob - a group consisting of the legendary Scarface, Big Gee, Young Malice, and would be produced by up and comer, Jazze Pha. Face Mob was to also be signed to Roc-A-Fella, and while that was a cool situation, I knew deep down inside that I still wanted to make an impression by being a solo artist.

Smitty: After all that has happened, I had an incredible buzz surrounding me. I was finally beginning to be noticed for the artistry that I exhibited beyond the writing. I was courted by a few labels including Bad Boy Records. However, I signed with J, because Clive Davis showed me the most genuine love. He understands what it takes to make an artist successful. He believes in artist development, but he also believes in actually putting you out an artist. Everything that has happened to me has only made me a stronger person, and if I had to do it all again, I would do things the exact same way.
