As a promotional effort for the upcoming album, Yung Joc has started a campaign called "What's Your Hustle?" The object is to help you to raise your "hustle game". The first installment is his Hustlenomics Tips 1-3.
Besides the Scream Tour, Yung Joc's MySpace has some upcoming appearances listed.
Jul 28 2007 8:00P The Beat-BBQ and Autograph Signing Detroit, Michigan
Jul 31 2007 12:00A Jimmy Kimmel Los Angeles, California
Sep 7 2007 8:00P BMI Awards Las Vegas, Nevada
Sep 9 2007 8:00P MTV Awards Las Vegas, Nevada
Yung Joc's Rap City appearance was today, actually. So, either it got moved or I was told incorrectly. Anyway, I missed the first 10 minutes of it of the show, but I don't think I missed much, if anything of Joc's appearance. It seems like it may be over. Nothing noteworth except that, at the end, he mentioned "new movie" and then wouldn't give any other details.
Yung Joc's "Coffee Shop" is going up against Katharine McPhee's "Love Story" and The Kooks' "She Moves In Her Own Way" in MTV's latest edition of Battle of the Videos. You can vote now and up until July 23 at 3 PM ET. As of now, McPhee is in the lead with voting totals not being revealed.
Yung Joc was on 106 & Park today, along with T.I., Ciara and Lloyd (Terrence said that T-Pain missed his flight) to promote the Screamfest 2007 tour. He talked about his first tour (with T.I.), how you don't want to go over your set time on tour (unless you want to face a fine), how he was performing old school joints at last year's Scream Tour and how adults in the audience were moving to them, so he thinks they saw that they could grow the tour up a bit (don't take this the wrong way B5 fans!).
When Lloyd and Joc saw the newly remodeled 106 & Park set, they talked about having the album release party for "Hustlenomics" on the set. Terrence and Rocsi both said "why not?" Unlikely, but we'll see.
Despite what I said, Yung Joc was not on today's Rap City. I wonder what happened there. Anyway, he's supposed to be on 106 & Park next, so we'll see.
XXLmag.com has a part of their magazine feature of Yung Joc online:
Best of all, he says, as he gears up to release his second album, Hustlenomics, this summer, he gets to do it the right way. The first record, says Joc, 24who self-produced New Joc Citys second single, I Know You See It, out of necessityI was under a lot of pressure to turn an album around. I had to do the album so quick, I couldnt really get with the big producers. A lot of the bigger producers thought I was gonna flop. They didnt know me. Okay, he got a hit record, but I dont know him. I was reaching out to n***** to work on my album; n***** was not responding. They was like, Nah, I cant do it. Pay me X amount of dollars. Now, these same n***** call me for hooks, call me for beats, call me for verses. Im not mad. Im happy n***** aint jump on my bandwagon right off.
Yung Joc will be on BET on Rap City on the 18th, as well. So, he'll be on Rap City and 106 on the same day.
Yung Joc will be on 106 & Park on Wednesday, July 18 to promote the Scream Tour.
