On Saturday, crowds of people from all over the state came to the Westfarms Mall to watch as Connecticut Idol kicked off its first of many qualifying rounds during the month of August. ...
Judges for the finale are comprised of the top industry experts and include Bad Boy Entertainment artist Cassie as well as a national record representative for RCA-J-Artista, Adrian Moreira, Steve Ferrera and Hot 93.7's DJ Buck and Nancy Barrow.
I didn't even know there were any, but I guess I don't pay that much attention. Cassie says:
The 19-year-old, from Puff's Bad Boy stable, said: "I'm a diehard fan of Janet but a lot of people compare my video for Me & U to hers for Pleasure Principle.
"I was just rehearsing in the studio, they filmed me and the record label thought it would be great for the video.
According to Bad Boy, Cassie will be doing an in-store at the Best Buy in West Hartford, CT from 4 to 6 PM.
Cassie (with Me & U) is featured in Clear Channel's Girls of Summer along with Fergie (London Bridge), Beyonce (Deja Vu), Pussycat Dolls (Buttons), Jessica Simpson (A Public Affair) and Janet Jackson (Call On Me). So, go vote for her.

Highlights include an interview and performance for Carson Daly's show (just the taping is on this day, not sure when it is actually on), a performance on Leno on August 4, a performance at BET 106 & Park on August 7 and a performance on Regis & Kelly on August 14.
