Bad Boy now has 3 on the list. Cassie's Me & U has moved up to the #4 spot (peak) while It's Goin' Down has fallen, but is still strong at #5. It's been in the top 5 for how many weeks now? I Know You See It is in at #96, as well. Good stuff.
When was the last time that Bad Boy had an album with 2 tracks that hit the Hot 100? Longer than I thought - you have to go all the way back to Welcome Back by Mase. Congrats to everyone involved there.
Bad Boy Online has been updated. As far as release dates, Cheri Dennis' album is given the ominous "coming soon" with no date. 8 Ball & MJG are August, Cassie is August 8, Danity Kane is August 15 and Diddy is September. I think that may already be outdated, though, as I just read an article that said Diddy's album is in October now.

From MTV News:
Were the Neptunes fronting with "Frontin' "? That's what Peter and David Currin claim in a federal lawsuit filed in Connecticut on Friday, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The songwriters say portions of their 1993 song "I'm Frontin' " were used in the Pharrell Williams/ Jay-Z track from the Neptunes' 2003 Clones album. The Currins allege that the lyrics, music and rhythm of their song which they say they sent in demo form to Diddy are "substantially similar" to the Neptunes single. Star Trak Entertainment, Arista Records, Sony Music Entertainment, RCA Records, BMG Music and Bad Boy Entertainment are also named as defendants in the copyright infringement claim, which seeks damages, royalties and an injunction to prevent further distribution of the song.
Yung Joc and Cheri Dennis will be performing at the WEUP Black Arts Festival this weekend:
In past years the festival, held on the station's grounds on Jordan Lane, has hosted the likes of Lil' Romeo, Mike Jones and T.I. This year, organizers scored a coup with Yung Joc, who has the Billboard No. 1 hip-hop song, "It's Goin' Down." Read an interview with him on Go.3. ...
Other acts booked include Mila J, Cherish, Bohagon, J Shin, Rasheeda, Project Pat, Field Mob and Cheri Dennis.
They are set to close out the event with Cheri Dennis appearing on the Pepsi stage at 5:40 PM on Saturday and Yung Joc following her at 6:00 PM.
Joc moved up 1 spot on the Hot 100 to number 3. Cassie remains at 8. Good stuff.
Just a rumor (... just a rumor), but AllHipHop.com rumors section is reporting:
50 CENT TO TAKE ON BAD BOY?
Im not the only one with rumors. Aside from Maino, Vibe magazine also has some good ones. In the new issue, they say that 50 Cent might be preparing an all-out lyrical assault on Diddy and Bad Boy, because they havent been able to get their paperwork together with Ma$e. The source says that Curtis and Mason have completed the Harlem rappers debut G-Unit album, but cant wriggle out of the legalities. Vibes VC says that Diddy wants a $2 million lump sum to get Betha out of there, but 50 isnt willing to pay all that for the rapper-turned-preacher-turned rapper. I suggest they do a joint venture like G-Unit did with Freeway and Roc-A-Fella and we all get paid. I mean, they all get paid.
We'll see. I wouldn't be shocked. I liked 50 at one point, but I've slowly been turned off to him and if he does anything like this... well, I'll just continue in that direction. Who hasn't 50 gone at, really? Go to WikiPedia for a refresher. To name a handful: Ja Rule, Nas, Fat Joe, The Lox, Jay-Z, The Game... wait, all of those people are cool with Diddy and Bad Boy. (Well, I mean... yeah, Jadakiss likes to talk about throwing refrigerators around, but after Diddy gave them their publishing as a gift, they were all smiles). Between The Game being on Duets and working with Diddy, Ja Rule being on a Duets Bonus Track, Diddy generally being friendly with a bunch of people that 50 has or is going at, the crazy radio appearance where 50 said Diddy was "driving B.I.G. into the ground" and the Mase stuff, this doesn't seem that far fetched. But... whatever.

From SOHH.com:
"I was excited to be with Puff. I was going to do a deal with him, but the money he offered was less than what I felt I deserved. Aside from them, JD made a counter offer that was considerably more, but I chose not to take it. Honestly I don't give a f*** about the personality standing next to me. I'm about the money right now and building my fan base," Killer Mike said.

From SOHH.com:
Everybody wants to sign Rakim. In the past year, reports surfaced that Talib Kweli showed interest in signing Rakim Allah. While the legendary lyricist ultimately opted to launch his Raw Records, he admits to being courted by the BK emcee. "We was speaking to them [Blacksmith Entertainment] for a while, good people. They were also getting tracks for me. Their situation at Warner was one of the ones we were looking at," Ra told SOHH.com. Kwe wasn't the only one trying to add Ra to his roster. Word is a few heavy hitters approached the God prior to him signing to Aftermath Records. "Puff wanted to sign me before I went to Cali," Ra revealed. "Master P wanted me to sign No Limit East. But at that time I was more concentrating on my craft, and I figured getting with Dre I won't have to worry about the beats. I can just sit back and do what I have to do."
Even though he ended up with Aftermath, it's cool that he called him.
