Just a little blast from the past. I was clearing out some links and came across MTV News article talking about various people/groups submiting rock remixes of Victory to Diddy. In the end, they went with the Nine Inch Nails (Trent Reznor) one, but I wouldn't mind hearing the others, of course. But, then, I'm a fan, so that's natural.
On the heels of the "All About The Benjamins" rock remix (currently the top-selling single in the country) Puffy has put out the call for another rock remix, this time for "Victory," the next single from his "No Way Out" album.
Reznor has already submitted a rock version of "Victory" as have Anthrax, the Deftones, Dinosaur Jr. mastermind J Mascis, and Fuzzbubble, the only rock act on Puffy's Bad Boy label. Korn and Megadeth are also poised to get in on the act as well.
In the latest The Billboard Hot 100 charts, Cassie remains at #4 with "Me & U." "It's Goin' Down" is down to #15 with "I Know You See It" continuing it's rise, this week at #22.
You have to buy the entire album to get a video they are billing as Show Stopper (featuring Diddy). Is this the remix video? From the preview clip, I can't tell. If anyone buys it, please let me know.
Wal-Mart's exclusive download, if you buy the album at their site is "I Wish" by Danity Kane.
Danity Kane's self titled debut album was released today. You can buy it on Amazon.com for $9.99. The tracklisting is as follows:
1. One Shot
2. Heartbreaker
3. Want It
4. Right Now
5. Show Stopper
6. Hold Me Down
7. Come Over Interlude
8. Ooh Ahh
9. Press Pause
10. Ain't True Interlude
11. Ride for You
12. Touching My Body
13. Back Up
14. Stay with Me
15. Sleep on It (Hidden Track)
From AllHipHop.com's Rumors section:
I heard that Diddy might be in the final stages of a huge ad campagne with Burger King. Yep. Now, the details of this rumor might correspond with the mogul's new album, because I'm hearing its coming up soon.
Just a rumor. I'm more of a McDonalds person, myself...
Yung Joc is headlining a party at Avalon in New York. He'll be performing (including It's Going Down, I Know You See It and Me & U (Remix)). It'll be hosted by La-La.
