A string of high-profile music stars including SEAN 'DIDDY' COMBS, MARIAH CAREY and SHAWN 'JAY-Z' CARTER could be hauled before a US court to testify on behalf of their jeweller.

LV: It�s been a good thing. Puff will have his say-so, but he really left it all up to us. �This is your s***. This is what you do.� ...

Chronicmagazine.com: What�s the most important lesson you�ve learned so far?

LV: What you get out is what you put in. I learned a lot from Puff�s work ethic. Puff never sleeps. Working on his album [Press Play] was the craziest sh*t in my life. I never slept. There were times when I had to just sneak out the studio. He�s a monster � in a good way. He works. He doesn�t stop. We�ll work on a record, mix it and take it to the club to see how it sounds. Then, we�ll go back and do it over again. He�s a monster. We just did a remix for him and Lil Wayne. He flew all the way from Toronto to hear the mix. That dude doesn�t stop.

Starting January 13th aspiring superstars can log onto http://makingtheband.mtv.com and upload their singing audition for the world to see. Viewers will have until January 27th to vote for their favorites. 25 candidates will be selected to move on to Round Two, where they'll upload a dance audition. Round Two voting concludes on February 6th. Producers will reward 3 finalists with the opportunity to audition in person for Diddy.
