In our audio player, check out "They Don't Love Me" by Diddy. On the track, Diddy opens up about frustration and disappointment in his life, such as the loss of friends and people rooting against him. It's not your typical cut; it follows more of an interlude format than anything else, I think. I like it.
Gorilla Zoe's twenty-eighth mixtape in his month of 28 is "The Mighty 'Zoe" Young." You can download it at DatPiff. Below, check out the cover, track listing and an embedded player where you can listen. As the description of the tape says "Day 27 of 28" on the DatPiff page, it looks like we're going to get a twenty-ninth tape today, as well.
Mario Winans is featured on a new song that recently surfaced online from rapper Benzino. It's titled "Kim Kardash." He's on the chorus and provides ad-libs throughout.
Cookin' Soul has a free download for the "Gmix" to Grafh's "Bring the Goons Out." It features Jim Jones, Red Cafe, Bun B, Maino and Cassidy. Cookin' Soul is a collective of producers and DJs and they were behind the production of the track.
In the embedded player below you can listen to the remix to Chronic Records' "Make You Hate Me" featuring Yung Joc. According to their ReverbNation page, the rappers featured on the track along with Joc are Remedy, Alyric and Los.
A remix to Rihanna's "Rude Boy" has surfaced online with an opening verse from Red Cafe. It's unclear if this is an official remix or if Cafe just put his own spin on the track, perhaps for his upcoming "Hottest in the Hood, Pt. 2" mixtape due on March 9.
This is a couple of weeks old, but Red Cafe mentioned it on Twitter and I realized that we hadn't posted it here yet, so I wanted to do so. In January, Red Cafe released a freestyle over the beat from Snoop Dogg's "I Wanna Rock." A short video was also produced to add some visuals to the verse. Watch it below.
Earlier today, we shared an MTV News story where reporter Shaheem Reid spoke with Yung Berg about the recent Los Angeles home invasion story that he and, at one time, Diddy had been linked to (Diddy is said to not have been involved). This side note, in the story, caught my eye:
Ironically, Berg says his production work is going to be featured heavily on Diddy-Dirty Money's upcoming Last Train to Paris LP — Berg has co-production credit on the single "Love Come Down." ...
The MTV story has now been updated, however, to read:
Ironically, Berg says his production work is going to be featured heavily on Diddy-Dirty Money's upcoming Last Train to Paris LP. Berg claims to have helped producer Rob Holladay produce the single "Love Come Down." [Hip-Hop editor's note: Holladay is the only producer credited on the song, according to Interscope Records.]
When first mentioning the story, I suggested that Yung Berg had, perhaps, done some vocal production work. But, curious to know more about Yung Berg's involvement in "Last Train to Paris," I reached out to Rob Holladay on Twitter and he confirmed that Berg had worked with him on a song for the album.
"He co-produced a record with me called "Make Love to You" in NYC last summer for LTTP," Holladay wrote. "It's crazzzzy!" When asked if Berg had contributed anything else to the project, he replied, "no, that's it as of now."
Ironically, Berg says his production work is going to be featured heavily on Diddy-Dirty Money's upcoming Last Train to Paris LP — Berg has co-production credit on the single "Love Come Down." ...
Among the many producers and artists mentioned as being part of the project, Yung Berg hadn't yet come up.
I'm just guessing here, but I have a suspicion he may be talking about vocal production, rather than song production.
The description of Yung Berg's most recent video blog is "yung berg hollywood robholladay in the studio." And the YouTube channel where he posts them includes numerous mentions of Holladay. If he's been working with Holladay, that could be the tie to "Last Train to Paris."
I've reached out to both Holladay and Yung Berg on Twitter for additional details.
Nadeska Alexis at The Boombox reports that Dirty Money will perform in Brooklyn on March 9, in honor of the tragic death of The Notorious B.I.G. thirteen years prior to the day.
In Ticketing has tickets for $30, plus a $4.05 fee. It's billed as the first performance in Brooklyn for the Diddy-led group. The venue is The LAB Banquet Hall on Fulton Street in Biggie's one-time home neighborhood of Bedford–Stuyvesant or Bed-Stuy.
Well, another version of the track has been released and this one has a few more ad-libs from him. Listen to it at The Source. Specifically, listen at the 0:44 mark, when Lil' Wayne weaves in mentions of 2Pac and Biggie.
Karina Brown of Courtroom News Service reports that Kaushi Entertainment and Dro-Entertainment have filed suit in Los Angeles District Court, claiming breach of contract and promissory fraud was committed by the estate of The Notorious B.I.G., his ex-wife and former Bad Boy Records artist Faith Evans, his friend Damien "D-Roc" Butler and Butler's company, RocDarling Films.
Kausi and Dro-Entertainment say that RocDarling had agreed to provide them with video of Biggie and that the estate had granted them permission to distribute the clips. For this, they provided an advance of $30,000, but they say that the footage never arrived. They are suing for $5 million dollars. A copy of the complaint is available from CNS.
On Twitpic,Big Boi has posted a pair of pictures (1, 2) from the set of the music video shoot for Janelle Monae's "Tightrope," which he is featured on.
The Diddy-featured remix tour rolls on. Ester Dean's "Drop It Low" gets the full treatment, with a remix featuring Lil' Wayne, Trey Songz, Chris Brown and Diddy, who opens the track with a short intro verse and adds ad-libs throughout. Listen at XXLMag.com.
On Sunday, according to a report by the L.A. Times a home said to be owned by a rap record label was broken into. There were some reports online indicating that the home was in some way affiliated with Diddy, whether he owned it or a label he was tied to owned it (which could be any number of labels).
We passed on the story here at Bad Boy Blog, as far as it's connection to Diddy, because it seemed flimsy and, really, it would only be newsworthy for us if Diddy or Bad Boy owned it and there was little indicating that as a fact.
Pop & Hiss has more on this story, which is why we're bringing it up now. They talked with publicist's for Diddy and Interscope, both of which denied any connection to the home.
Kane & Abel have a new song out titled "Big Shot," featuring Yung Joc on the chorus. Kane & Abel is a rap duo featuring twin brothers, formerly signed to No Limit Records. A Twitter profile purporting to be them mentions the song with Joc and plans to release an album in May.
The Twitter account of Cassie, previously @cassieventura, has been deleted. I checked to make sure that the username had not simply been changed and the account itself has been deleted.
It's a shame to see her leave the service, if that is what has happened. But, nothing is for everyone - Twitter included. We all have to decide what to spend our time on.
In an interview on FOX 5 Atlanta's "Good Day Atlanta," Gorilla Zoe revealed that his forthcoming third album, "King Kong," has an expected release of late Spring or early Summer. In August, Zoe mentioned that the album would probably be released around the time a third Boyz N Da Hood album was released. Check out the full interview below.
Back before Janelle Monae opted to go the major label route and sign with Bad Boy, she planned a series of four EP albums. They were called the "Metropolis" suites. She released her first, "The Chase Suite," before becoming a Bad Boy artist.
Rap-Up.com and All Headline News are both reporting that Kalenna of Dirty Money is featured on "H*** Fight" from Trina's new album "Amazin'." The song also features Lady Gaga.
It looks like Sean John is updating the classic Sean John Times Square billboard in NYC and Arcade44 got a behind the scenes look at the shoot, as well as interviews with Diddy and stylist Derek Roche. Mark Seliger is the photographer. Watch below.
The Sean John blog says that the new image is set for a June launch. It's probably not coincidental that Diddy's album, "Last Train to Paris," is also due for a June release.
BET has announced that Janelle Monae is among those slated to perform at the 2010 edition of their "Rip the Runway" program. The show will tape on February 27 at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

Following his announcement that a mixtape was on the way, a new song from Day26's Robert Curry has appeared online. It's titled "Don't Be Mad" and it appears that the singer has not yet mentioned the song on his Twitter page, at press time.
Robert Curry of Day26 has released a new solo track titled "So Freaky" for free download (parental advisory). He says that the song represents a "lil' taste of what you can expect" on his upcoming mixtape.
On Twitter, Robert Curry of Day26 revealed that he's working on a mixtape. He said that he's releasing the mixtape to "build up the anticipation for the upcoming Day26 album." No release date has been announced for the mixtape.
Dubbing it "Justin's Super Royal 16," on February 21 MTV will air "My Super Sweet 16" starring Diddy's son, Justin Combs, as we reported in January. The show starts at 5:30 PM.
The party was attended by Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, Lil' Kim and LeSean McCoy with performances by Juelz Santana, DJ Webstar, Jim Jones, G. Dep, Fabolous and Trey Songz. Nicki Minaj accompanied Justin Combs as his date (watch video).
Over the weekend, Diddy appears at Beamers, a club in Dallas. During the appearance, he announced a June 29 release date for the upcoming "Last Train to Paris" album. He was also joined on stage by Rick Ross as the two rappers performed their verses from Waka Flocka Flame's "O Let's Do It (Remix) (free download). Red Cafe was also on stage. Check out footage from this performance below.
An official music video for the track is on the way.
Janon Fisher at the New York Post has the latest in the case: lawyers for Diddy are now looking for the judge to compel Brooklyn, New York-based GLASS Quarterly to provide notes from the author of a 2008 article that suggested Sean John had misappropriated Patti's sculpture. Specifically, the contention is that the magazine gave Patti the idea to file the suit.
We are now half way through the month of February, a month in which Gorilla Zoe promised 28 mixtapes in 28 days. He's ahead of himself, having released 15 mixtapes through the first 14 days of the month. Let's recap the mixtapes he has released thus far:
In honor of Valentine's Day, Day26 group member Willie Taylor has released "Sextape," a 15-track mixtape featuring new music "made for the bedroom." You can download it for free at Noivak Music and check out the cover, track listing and album credits below.
If you want to find out Willie's thoughts on the mixtape, check them out. There isn't a whole lot particularly newsworthy and there are repetitive questions about the ludicrous "Bad Boy curse," which I'll tackle here eventually and end once and for all.

The New York Post has named Sean John's debut fashion show in Bryant Park in 2000 as one of the top 10 "tent moments at Bryant Park," in honor of the park's final year as host of Fashion Week, ending a 17 year run. Mandy Stadtmiller writes:
4. 2000 — Sean John debuts. “Diddy’s first show was massive,” [Fern Mallis, Fashion Week organizer] says. “There were airport runway lights, and people’s jaws just dropped. All these hunky fabulous guys came out wearing light pastel and more diamonds on than you could shake a stick at — and not one guy looked gay.”
In light of this occasion, Sean John has posted video from this show online. Check it out below.
Taylor says the group has no plans to replace Q because the group's current size works. And although Taylor's 'Sex Tape' is getting released soon, the group will reunite next week to record some new music for their third album in Atlanta with hit maker Bryan Michael Cox. They are also in negotiations with MTV for another reality show.
The first movie trailer for "Get Him to the Greek" has been released. Diddy plays a record executive with Jonah Hill as his assistant. Hill's character is charged with the task of retrieving a star artist, played by Russell Brand, and bringing him from the United Kingdom to the United States. Watch below. You can download the trailer from Apple for free, if you have QuickTime Pro.
Over at the Anderson Cooper 360 blog, CNN education contributor Steve Perry previews his interview with Diddy, which airs tonight on CNN at 11 PM ET.
Sean Combs is a man who is acutely aware of the way people see him. He decided to do this interview knowing that I was going to push him. He and I recently met at an engagement party. He told me he respected my work and I told him I felt the same way. Unsure if my response was simply an obligatory retort, he said, "I'm serious." To make his point, he pulled me aside and told me something that he said nobody would believe.
Here is the movie poster for "Get Him to the Greek," which features Diddy as a record executive who dispatches one of his assistants (Jonah Hill) to corral a star act (Russell Brand) for a concert.
DM:Obviously, no one wants to lose or be eliminated. Did you think you would have been eliminated the way you did?
K:No. Who would have thought that? (laughs) I guess the way I got eliminated was kind of childish. As I sat in the room and they called up Ivory, then the next person...Then capricorn called my name and I was like “I don’t have any speech, I wasn’t prepared for it.”
Guest performers: in addition to Big Boi and Of Montreal, the album will feature poet Saul Williams, Deep Cotton and the Wondaland Arch Ochestera.
Inspiration: Salvador Dalí, Walt Disney, OutKast, Stevie Wonder, Octavia Butler, David Bowie, Andy Warhol, and John Williams are among those who reportedly inspired the set, along with the venues where the writing for it took place: Moscow, Prague, Istanbul, Berlin, Amsterdam, New York and the "Palace of the Dogs."
Executive production: Nate Wonder, Chuck Lightning, Janelle Monae and Diddy are listed as executive producers with Big Boi receiving a co-executive producer credit.
Pitchfork debuts a new Janelle Monae song "Tightrope" featuring Big Boi. They say that the track is the first single from her upcoming album titled "The ArchAndroid." The song will go on sale on her official site on February 12, along with another new song titled "Cold War." Here is the single cover:

Check out the video below for footage from one of Diddy's Super Bowl parties in Miami this past weekend. In the clip, Biz Markie DJs as Diddy talks to the crowd and performs along with the "O Let's Do It (Remix)." But, the most interesting part of this video is the premiere of a new song "Hello, Goodmorning." We only hear a little bit, but he starts talking about it at the 1:30 mark. Check it out.
Clinton Sparks has released part 3 of "Cirocumentary," the video series providing a behind the scenes look at the shooting of the "Ciroc Star" music video by Chester French featuring Diddy, Jadakiss and Sparks. For more, check out part 1, part 2 and the director's cut of the music video. Part 4 is coming.
Check out the video below to see the Diddy and Dirty Money featured Super Bowl 44 commercial. This commercial was supposed to air during the pre-game show, but it didn't show here in North Carolina. So, perhaps it was regional.
Update: Bad Boy Entertainment Chief Marketing Officer Amani Duncan saidon Twitter that the clip actually aired at 3:45 PM ET and a later showing was squeezed to show Katie Couric's interview with President Barack Obama.
According to Twitter messages on the Diddy and Bad Boy Records pages, Diddy and Dirty Money will be appearing during the Super Bowl pre-game show on CBS, either to "deliver a special message" or for a "commercial" (both, I guess!), depending on which page you read. This will happen between 5 and 6 PM ET.
On Twitter, Donnie Klang announced that he's got three projects in the pipeline: a mixtape, his next album and a 5 song all-acoustic EP titled "Story of My Life." No release dates have been announced.
In the video below, released on the PTWITTYTV YouTube channel, Diddy talks about how he's coming back in June (could be when "Last Train to Paris" is now set to be released) and how people have been biting his style. He then raps along with his verse from Waka Flocka Flame's "O Let's Do It (Remix)" (free download).
The video closes by noting that an official video for the track, which also features Rick Ross and Gucci Mane, is coming soon.
Kaylia Cornett of The Eastern Progress, the campus newspaper of Eastern Kentucky University, has an interview with EKU alumni Ebony Jones of "I Want to Work for Diddy 2."
According to the article, she is working in "Bad Boy's advertising and marketing sector," which would most likely be the Blue Flame Agency.
Gorilla Zoe's fourth mixtape in his month of 28 is "Gorilla Woods." Warning: the album cover features sexual imagery and, as such, we will not have the cover here nor an embedded player. However, the track listing is below. You can download it at DatPiff.
XXLmag.com has the new remix to Waka Flocka Flame's "O Let's Do It." Along with an opening verse from Diddy, the track also features Rick Ross and Gucci Mane.
Here are Bad Boy's positions on the most recent Billboard U.S. album and single charts, released today.
Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs
79. "I'm Ill" by Red Cafe (a new high, up from 84).
80. "Angels" by Dirty Money (a new high, up from 92).
99. "Love Come Down" by Dirty Money (down from 95).
On Monday, The BET Honors 2010 aired, honoring Sean "Diddy" Combs as an entrepreneur. Andre Harrell and Mary J. Blige participated in the ceremony, with Blige performing "I Am," "Love No Limit," "I Love You" and "Be Happy." "Puffy believed in me when no one in the world believed in me," she said after "I Am." It's definitely a must watch and Blige's performance is special.
That's a good question; and one I don't know the answer to. But, in the video below, Beanie Sigel is seen recording verses to Dirty Money's "Angels." At the end of the clip, it is suggested that there is a remix to "Angels" on the way featuring both Rick Ross and Beanie Sigel.
I initially dismissed it, but then I saw the video's upload date: November 5. We didn't even know there was a remix with Rick Ross until around November 18, when it premiered on Hot 97.
It's not particularly strange - guests get added and dropped to songs all the time - but, it is one of those potentially interesting factoids that fans appreciate, if it is true and, again, that is unclear. During the end of October, the whole Jay-Z and Beanie Sigel situation was blowing up. Obviously Diddy and Jay are friends and so, one might reasonably speculate that that had something to do with it. But, nothing is really known about Sigel's planned participation - or lack thereof - on this track.
AllHipHop.com's Roman Wolfe reports on an appearance by Diddy on CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360." During the show, Diddy mentioned that he plans to open a business school in New York; probably in Harlem.
"I want to have an academy that's known for building leaders," they quote him as saying. "I feel that's one of the things I can have an impact on."
As we reported on Saturday, Sean John opened a "pop up" store in Miami to take advantage of the traffic generated by the National Football league Pro Bowl and Super Bowl.
Women's Wear Daily has more on the concept, which is aimed at being environmentally friendly. The store in Miami is the first of "many sustainable, green pop-up stores" that the company will be building, according to Sean John president Dawn Robertson.
Today, Gorilla Zoe's Twitter announced that the move had been released. You can watch it below. Warning: it contains nudity and other content not suitable for all audiences.
